A written agreement between the parties to an action by which they settle the action in court with the court's permission. The agreement historically functioned as a conveyance of land and as a means to resolve disputes over title.
Felicia Fuentes claimed ownership of a disputed parcel against Frontier Capital. The parties appeared in court and executed a final concord acknowledging Fuentes's superior title. The court approved the document and entered judgment accordingly, transferring record ownership to Fuentes.
